We're delighted to welcome all data experts to this special gathering of minds. Amsterdam has always been a hub for innovation, especially in the tech sector. Today, our city is home to thousands of Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Analytics Engineers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists. Yet, despite this wealth of talent and interest, there's room for improvement in the quality of tech and data meetups recently. That's why we're here today.

📣 This Edition
For our first edition we have gathered two bright minds that want to dive in to two separate cases.
1. Alexander Rass - Data Science Manager at Dott
Dott has a fleet of over 100k vehicles (ebikes and kickscooters) across more than 60 European cities. On a weekly basis they process thousands of damaged vehicles, repairing them and deploying them back onto the streets as fast as possible.
In his talk, Alexander Rass, Dott’s data science manager, will present how Dott applies data science to predict breakage on vehicles using iot data streams, geospatial knowledge and user-vehicle interactions. He will also share how Dott implements their models into their operational product, so their teams of mechanics and drivers can work more effectively every single day.
2. Lean & Mean Analytics for Start- & Scale Ups - Hein Harlaar & Mark de Jong founders at Point05
Hein Herlaar and Mark de Jong co-founded Point05, leveraging their experience from data scientist and leadership roles at renowned companies like Felyx, Spotify, Parfumado, and **Bol.com**.
In their talk, they delve deeply into the distinctions between startups and established companies. They explore how to define strategy and ambitions, select the right components for your tech stack, build a cohesive team, and navigate common practical challenges.
