We're delighted to welcome all data experts to this special gathering of minds. Amsterdam has always been a hub for innovation, especially in the tech sector. Today, our city is home to thousands of Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Analytics Engineers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists. For our third edition we have gathered two bright minds that want to dive in to two separate cases.

1. Partitions in BigQuery - A Deep-dive | Mees Strooker - Co-Founder at Increment
Modern data cloud platforms, like Snowflake and GCP BigQuery, have ushered in a new era where data science and its applications are more accessible than ever. However, this convenience comes at a cost. Even top-tier teams struggle with spiralling expenses, inefficient data models, and stockpiles of unused datasets that add unnecessary costs. Increment was founded to tackle these challenges head-on.

In this talk, we’ll discuss partitions in BigQuery—what they are, how they work, and how to use them effectively. We’ll start with some basic theory and end with practical examples to showcase the power of using user-defined partitions.

2. Streamlit Deployment in PostNL’s Data Science Workflow | Daan Hiemstra - Senior Data Scientist at PostNL
At PostNL, data science stands at the core of operational excellence. Federated Data Scientists work with different tools to easily deploy and manage their algorithms.
