What we’re about
Welcome to Adventure Biking Beyond Budapest!
This group is for anyone interested in exploring the beautiful scenery surrounding Budapest by bicycle. Our goal is to provide regular, one-day tours at a leisurely pace of 60-80 km (sometimes more), taking us away from busy roads (as much as possible) and to various destinations.
Whether you're an experienced cyclist or just starting out, you're welcome to join us. Our tours are suitable for all levels of cyclists and offer a chance to discover new places, meet new people, and have fun. The main aim is to build a friendly and supportive community of like-minded individuals who enjoy cycling and the great outdoors.
We kindly ask all participants to sign up for a Meetup at least one day before the event to ensure that the tour will be organized, because If there are no sign-ups for a particular event, the tour may be canceled, and organizers may not show up at the venue.
Please note that we are not professional guides and everyone is responsible for their own safety during the tours. We recommend wearing a helmet for your own protection.

Hey cycling fellows! 🎉 Here's the plan:
🚉 Meet-Up: Join us at Budapest Déli station at 11:55 AM, platform 12 near ticket machines. Please buy tickets in advance.
🚂 Departure: We catch the 12:10 PM train to Velence.
🚴 Ride Details: We'll pedal from Velence through Etyek, taking in gorgeous landscapes along the way.
Distance: ±80km
Pace: +-19km/h. We’ll make a few stops along the way to rest and grab some water.
Elevation Gain: ±500m
Difficulty: 2.5/5, Moderate. 🌞🏞️🌅 Sunset Chill: We wrap up with a cozy sunset session by the Danube, complete with wine and cheese. 🍷🧀
What to bring: Front and rear lights are mandatory (!!) since we'll be riding back in the dark. Reflective vests are highly recommended, especially for sections where we'll be riding near the road 🎒
Stay Hydrated and Energized: 🥤🍏 Pack enough liquids and snacks to keep you fueled and hydrated throughout the trip.
