About us
There are many interesting economic/financial/business reads out there I would love to share with others. Some fall under financial self-help, some are just about economics, some are just fun fictional books about business and/or life. We will meet once a month on Saturday or Sunday afternoons, depending on what works best.
side note: Not interested in discussing personal politics (unless it's related to the books) or arguing with anyone about their beliefs; I want to keep the meetings peaceful and relevant to the readings
The line up so far (there will be flexibility in scheduling, but this helps people if they want to borrow from the library, etc):
September - Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki
October - American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
November - Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World by Cal Newport
December - Tribe of Mentors: Short Life Advice from the Best in the World ( only 19 pages for the busy holiday season)
January - The 7 Habits of Highly
Effective People by Stephen R. Covey
February - Too Big to Fail by Andrew Ross Sorkin
March - Economica: A Global History of Women, Wealth, and Power by Victoria Bateman
April - Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer
May - Real Americans by Rachel Kong
And many more like these!
