RESCHEDULED - Stissing Mountain fire tower + Thompson Pond + Tower Pizza

The view from Stissing Fire tower is sweeping and encompasses the Berkshire Mountains eastward all the way to the Catskills in the west. Below the tower Thompson Pond lies fully exposed, and we'll head there after the tower. On our way down, we'll explore a new trail segment, which happens to be a shortcut to the pond.
Thompson Pond is a spectacular place to spot waterfowl, beaver, other wetland critters, and of course, Bigfoot. The trail incorporates a few refurbished boardwalks along the way, too.
After the hike, we'll drive just a few minutes to Tower Pizza to refuel with an assortment of menu items beyond pizza itself. Those who like can linger for further off-world conversation.
For this event we'll join members from Spirit Hiking, so we'll have more than those who sign up from our group.
