## ​🔸About the Event

​Fraud warnings in Luxembourg are running at a record pace.
​The CSSF issued 103 fraud warnings in the past twelve months, one every three working days and 12% more than the twelve months before. The past month alone produced at least as many warnings as the archive's entire first five years.
​In 2025, 367 phishing complaints were recorded in Luxembourg, with estimated losses of around €10 million since August 2023, a figure authorities consider an underestimate. Around 700 victims also came forward in 2025 in cases linked to money-mule networks.
​Fraud is constantly evolving, and protecting people from it is not something any one organisation can do alone.
​Banks, police, public authorities, consumer organisations, industry bodies, researchers, technology companies and journalists all encounter different parts of the problem.
​Beyond Silos #1: Fighting Fraud Together brings those perspectives into the same room.
​On 29 September, DESILO Europe and LHoFT will bring together stakeholders from across Luxembourg to discuss one shared question:

## ​How can we better protect people in Luxembourg from fraud?

​The conversation will look at what people are experiencing today, how fraud is changing, where current prevention and response still fall short, and what different parts of Luxembourg's ecosystem can do next.
​This means looking at the problem from several angles: prevention and public awareness, victim protection, financial crime detection, law enforcement, industry collaboration, regulation and new technologies.
​

​The conversation does not end on 29 September.
​Beyond Silos is intended as a recurring forum where organisations across Luxembourg can continue discussing shared challenges, bring different perspectives to the table and identify areas where further dialogue or collaboration is needed.
​Participating organisations and ecosystem partners will be invited to join the Beyond Silos Host Committee, which will carry the discussion forward and help shape future editions of the series.
​Host Committee members will contribute to:

• ​Identifying the questions and priorities that should be discussed next
• ​Bringing relevant voices and stakeholders into the conversation
• ​Shaping the themes, speakers and format of future editions
• ​Identifying areas that merit deeper discussion or practical follow-up

​The first edition begins with fighting fraud and protecting people in Luxembourg. What comes next will be shaped by the community and by the questions that emerge from this first conversation.
