Skye!!!!

This is the Cullin Ridge on Skye.

Some of us will be doing something on the Cullin Ridge.

Firstly, it will be strenuous and difficult! Secondly, it's a long, long way away and will require some travelling. Thirdly, it will require scrambling ability, a head for heights and appropriate gear.

The Plan

• Friday: Start stupidly early for the journey to Skye and keep going until we get there...late
• Saturday to Thursday: This will depend upon the weather conditions and how people are feeling. A number of options will be considered, but hopefully some Munro's will be bagged! Fingers crossed it won't be appalling weather this year!
• Tuesday: Depart early doors and begin the long journey home

Requirements

• A head for heights
• Experience of scrambling
• Helmet, harness, carabiner and (ideally) experience of ropework
• Appropriate clothing and footwear ie. footwear for scrambling, not just hillwalking
• Ability to endure harsh conditions
• Sense of humour

Cost

• £400

Warning
This trip will be limited to my level of competence and the competence of those with me. Therefore, we won't be doing some of the harder sections on the Cullin.

Over-subscription Criteria

• Competence and confidence in scrambling/climbing
• Fitness and endurance levels (you need to be fit)
• The use of a car and willingness to drive (2 places)
• Experience of ropework
• Interpersonal and group dynamics
• How many B3P events you've attended since coming out of lockdown
