About us

Most organizations still run on structures built for a stable world: fixed hierarchies, annual plans, approval chains, and roles defined in boxes. The work itself has moved on. Teams cross boundaries, decisions need to be made close to the problem, and AI is reshaping who does what.

Beyond the Org Chart is a community for people who want to understand how organizations really work, and how to design them to adapt.

We look past the formal chart at what drives organizational behavior: how decisions flow, where autonomy sits, how teams coordinate, how strategy turns into action, and how people and AI agents share work. We don't promote any single framework. We compare approaches, test ideas against real cases, and keep a clear line between adopting a method and changing how an organization is designed.

What we do
Discussions and short talks on adaptive operating models, organizational design, and systems thinking

Hands-on sessions where we map, diagnose, and redesign real organizational challenges

Case exchanges in which practitioners share what worked, what failed, and why

Explorations of emerging topics like human–AI collaboration, decision rights, and governance

Who it's for
Leaders, transformation and change professionals, agile coaches, HR and organizational development practitioners, consultants, founders, and anyone curious about how organizations could work better. You don't need to be an expert, just open to questioning assumptions.

How we meet
Regular in-person meetups in Zurich, with occasional online sessions. Conversations are mostly in English, and French and German are welcome.

Our spirit
Curious, practical, and evidence-minded. We value real experience over buzzwords and good questions over quick answers.

Join us and help rethink how organizations are designed.
