Spring Carnival at the Boys & Girls Club

Volunteer at the 3rd Annual Kiwanis Spring Carnival!

This annual community event, organized by the DC Young Professionals Kiwanis Club, serves more than 100 children in Anacostia through a variety of fun, educational games and activity stations.

Volunteers are needed to play with the children, assist with games and activities, and help set up and break down the event at the Boys & Girls Club.

This year's event will include a moonbounce, crafts, relay races, prizes, nutrition education, food, and more!

A lite lunch will be provided for volunteers. Afterwards, we will go out to a nearby restaurant/bar to celebrate and socialize!

Getting there:

• Metro access: Short walk from the Southern Ave. metro stop (green line).
• Parking is also available at the Boys & Girls Club.
• Walking Directions from Metro: At Southern Avenue metro (on the green line) there is only one exit to the street level. Once past the fare gates, exit the station to the right. Walk along until you are able to get to the actual street, Southern Ave. Take a right and head Northwest along Southern Ave- about 5 or 6 minutes. The intersection with Mississippi Ave is pretty large, take a left. The Boys And Girls Club will be the second building on the left -about 3 minutes.
