Creative Sparx - PLAY

In the public mind, play is often seen as something for kids. However, research indicates that play isn’t just for kids, adults need play, too. It’s an intrinsic human need that benefits our bodies and brains, play helps us build and maintain healthy relationships, and even enhances our creativity and productivity at work.

IDEO London opens its doors for an evening of Play, with Andrew Gordon and Portia Tung sharing their point of view on play and how we design for more purposeful play at work and in our individual careers.

Andrew Gordon:
Having spent 20 years at Pixar animation studio and having one of the most famous ‘creative offices’, Andrew will reflect on how and where ‘play’ showed up and ultimately what made it feel like ‘’lightning in a bottle’’...

Portia Tung:
Portia will share her thoughts on the topic of Playful Leadership: specifically around enabling transformational change whilst having fun doing it!

In this interactive talk on Playful Leadership, you will experience the catalysing power of play and gain a basic understanding of how play can convert seemingly relentless resistance into joyful anticipation of growth instead.
