Forget "networking" and try "friending." If you’ve ever felt nervous walking into a room of strangers, this is for you. I’ll be right at the door to greet you and introduce you to some truly wonderful people. No cold starts, no awkward silences—just good coffee and easy introductions.

### How to Make the Most of It

We’re making it effortless, but real connection is a team effort! Here are a few "pro-tips" to help the magic happen:

  • Keep it Moving: Instead of staying at one table the whole time, try to wander a bit. Once you’ve had a great chat with someone, feel free to move to a new spot and meet someone fresh!
  • Be a Curious Friend: Genuine interest goes a long way. Ask questions, listen well, and help others feel welcome.
  • Keep it Light: We’re here to build comfort. Avoid overly personal questions early on—let the conversation flow naturally so everyone feels at ease.
  • Small Efforts, Big Results: If each of us makes a casual effort to reach out, we all make real progress in building a community.

The Golden Rule: These are just tips to help us all connect better, but they aren’t "mandatory." Most importantly, just bring yourself as you are.

Logistics

  • How to find us: 15 minutes prior to the event start time on Friday, I will post my phone number and a description of what I’m wearing in the group chat. Please reach out if you can’t find us!
  • Stay Updated: Keep an eye on the chat for any real-time updates!

Parking situation:

  • Finding a spot at The RADO Market is surprisingly stress-free for a neighborhood with so much history. Here is a breakdown of your best parking bets, from the front door to the scenic route.

### 1. The On-Site Lot (The "Front Row" Choice)

  • Cost: Free.
  • Accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible.
  • The Vibe: Reviewers love this lot for being huge and spacious. You won't have to squeeze into a tiny spot here; there is typically ample room for everyone.

### 2. Street Parking (The "Local" Choice)

  • Location: Surrounding streets in the historic Third Ward.
  • Availability: There is plenty of it. Most visitors find free street options right near the entrance without any hassle.

### 3. Emancipation Park (The "Pro-Move" Alternative)

If the main lot is buzzing, Emancipation Park is essentially right next door and offers several free ways to park your car:

  • Dedicated Lot: A 55-space free lot located on Tuam Street, directly across from the baseball field.
  • Parallel Parking: You can find spots along Emancipation Avenue (right in front of the park) or Hutchins Street (tucked behind the park).
  • Head-in Parking: Available along Tuam Street next to the baseball field.

> Pro Tip: If you park in the Emancipation Park lots, it is a breezy 180-foot walk to The RADO Market. That’s fewer steps than a trip down a grocery store aisle!
