The Interview Lab: Practice, Feedback, Get Hired
Details
The Interview Lab is a small-group, hands-on workshop designed to help you actually prepare for real interviews, not just think about them.
Job searching can feel like shouting into the void…until you land an interview and realize you haven’t actually practiced saying any of it out loud.
This is where that changes.
Hosted by professional development expert, Sara Zuboff, the Interview Lab is a small-group, hands-on workshop designed to help you actually prepare for real interviews, not just think about them.
In this session, you’ll:
- Get live feedback on your resume or portfolio
- Practice answering real interview questions (not hypotheticals)
- Build and refine your answer to “Tell me about yourself”
- Learn how to clearly communicate your experience, impact, and value
This is not a lecture.
This is a working session.
### 🎤 The Elevator Pitch (What You’ll Walk Away With)
You’ll leave with a 30–60 second “trailer” of your professional story that actually works in interviews.
We’ll help you build it using a simple, proven structure:
- Opening: Who you are and what you do
- Value: 1–2 key strengths or accomplishments (using real examples, not buzzwords)
- Connection: Why your experience fits the role you’re pursuing
- Closing: Where you’re headed and how you can contribute
We’ll also introduce a simplified version of the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) so you can talk about your work in a way that’s clear, credible, and memorable.
Then you’ll practice it. Out loud. With feedback.
### 🧠 What Makes This Different
Most job seekers prepare silently.
We practice in real time.
- You’ll say your answers out loud
- You’ll get specific, useful feedback
- You’ll refine in the room, not later
Expect a collaborative, low-pressure environment where the goal isn’t perfection…
it’s getting sharper with every rep.
### 👥 Format
Small group (intentionally capped) to ensure:
- Personalized feedback
- Time to practice
- Real interaction, not passive listening
