Join Mokshajyoti of Moss & Moksha for a vibrant and heart-opening New Year Kirtan gathering designed to awaken your voice, center your heart, and call in the intentions you wish to carry into the year ahead.
This is not a quiet, passive experience — it’s an embodied, rhythmic, communal singing circle rooted in the Bhakti yoga tradition.
Together, we’ll chant simple mantras, drum, clap, breathe, and sing like a living choir. Expect a warm, earthy, tribal-inspired atmosphere where voices weave together, rhythms pulse, and music becomes a shared prayer for renewal.
Mokshajyoti will be accompanied by one of her dear musician friends, adding rhythm, depth, and dynamic musical support to the experience.
Before we begin chanting, we will take a few intentional moments to reflect and set personal intentions, allowing the resonance of mantra and community energy to amplify and anchor what you wish to call in for the New Year.

## About Mokshajyoti

Mokshajyoti is an Indian sacred sound artist, kirtan and mantra vocalist, trauma-informed somatic self-expression coach, sound healing practitioner, Reiki practitioner, and certified forest therapy guide.
Rooted in Indian classical music training and guided by a deep commitment to healing and embodied expression, she weaves devotional sound with somatic awareness, nervous system sensitivity, and earth-based practices.
Her offerings invite participants into spaces of belonging, joy, release, reflection, and heart-centered expression. Through voice, rhythm, and intuitive presence, she guides communities into deeper connection with themselves and with one another.

## What Is Kirtan?

Kirtan is a devotional singing practice from the Bhakti yoga tradition — a joyful, heart-led form of chanting where we sing simple mantras in a call-and-response style.
The leader offers a line, and the group echoes it back. Over time, voices blend, rhythms sync, and a powerful collective field emerges.
Traditionally Kirtan is not a performance; it is a participatory experience. You are encouraged to sing in whatever way feels natural, move if you feel inspired, and bring shakers or small drums if you’d like to add to the rhythm. No musical background is needed — your presence, breath, and voice are enough.
