This effort is part of the Bhakti, Sound and Soma Thursdays by Mokshajyoti. Kirtan gathering meets every first and third thursdays.

Bhakti Yoga is the yoga of divine love — a path of opening the heart through devotion, music, connection, and the remembrance that we are held by something larger than ourselves. One of its most joyful practices is kirtan: a call-and-response style of mantra singing that invites us to drop out of the thinking mind and into the vibration of the heart.
Join Moksha Jyoti of Moss & Moksha for a vibrant and heart-opening evening of embodied kirtan. Mokshajyoti's Kirtans are traditional Indian melodic inspired rhythms.

This is not a quiet, passive experience — it’s an embodied, rhythmic, communal singing circle rooted in the Bhakti Yoga tradition.
Together we’ll chant simple mantras, drum, clap, and sing like a living choir. Expect a warm, earthy, tribal-inspired atmosphere where voices weave together, rhythms pulse, and music becomes a shared prayer.
What makes this gathering unique:

  • Earthy, tribal-inspired kirtan with drums, shakers, movement, and communal rhythm
  • A welcoming, inclusive community atmosphere where you can sing loudly, softly, or simply listen
  • Optional reflection & sharing to deepen connection and belonging
  • Shakers & small instruments provided
  • Children welcome — a beautiful way for young ones to explore rhythm and voice (please supervise your child). Children attend for free with caregivers presence, as long as they are comfortable with sound, music, singing and moments of stillness and during meditation.

We’ll journey from quiet meditation into ecstatic sound, rhythm, and spontaneous movement — letting the body express what words cannot.
No musical or mantra experience is needed. Just bring your voice, your breath, and your openness to be moved.
Please reach out if cost is an issue or you need a discount. No one turned back for lack of funds.

Pre-registration preffered here .
Price: Suggested $20.
This funds help take care of the venue, additional costs and my time to organize such spaces for the community.
