A Discussion of Holy Hierarchy: The Religious Roots of Racism In America
Details
For this event, the BHNBS is asking you to view Jeremiah Camara’s latest documentary, "Holy Hierarchy: The Religious Roots of Racism In America."
Holy Hierarchy explains how in colonial Virginia the notions of a Supreme Being led to beliefs of supreme human beings and how these beliefs morphed their way into the legal system of slavery; ultimately creating racism and turning it into an institution.
