Exodus 23: What is the Role of Angels in our life

Question: Are the angels a separate creation? Do the people who die become angels? How do we obey the angels in our life?

In Exodus 23, God says, "Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. 21 Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him. 22 But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries."

In our church (the New Church of Phoenix), we believe that the Word of God has a deeper meaning, that there is a spiritual meaning to the sense of the letter of the Word. The Word of God is full of correspondences (codes), representations, and significatives which, like a parable, you need to decode to understand.
