About us
Welcome to Bicerin, a non-profit organisation, donation-based community, sustained by shared curiosity; you can support our events and join us by donating here: donation link
This is a meetup group for anyone passionate about the liberal arts—whether that’s philosophy, painting, writing, or any other creative or intellectual pursuit that feeds the soul.
We're here to share ideas, have some drinks, meet like-minded people, and spark discussions that leave you thinking long after you’ve left the room (respectfully!).
Think cozy salons, lively debates, book and art sharing, and the occasional event or workshop when inspiration strikes.

Whether you're a lifelong lover of the arts or just dipping your toes in, you're welcome. No academic credentials required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
Founded by Edward Breen and Antonello Mirone, Bicerin was created with the intent to build a thoughtful, engaging club centered around culture and the liberal arts.

This September's gathering is particularly special, as both the theme and the venue have been chosen by our Crossword Challenge winner, Denitsa Radeva!
Congratulations once again, and thank you for selecting such a thought-provoking subject to begin our new season.Together, we'll explore the idea of Karma, as a religious or philosophical concept, and also as a literary, artistic, and human one.
Is karma destiny, justice, coincidence, or simply the stories we tell ourselves about cause and effect? How have writers, philosophers, poets, filmmakers, and artists interpreted this timeless idea across cultures?
Bring a poem, a passage, a painting, a song, a personal reflection, or simply your curiosity.
Whether your interests lie in Eastern philosophy, Greek tragedy, Dante, Dostoevsky, Borges, Jung, or contemporary thought, every perspective is welcome. There will also be time to reconnect after the summer break, welcome new members, share upcoming creative projects, and look ahead to another year of inspiring discussions with the Bicerin community.
