Bicester Tech Meetup - April

Details
Join us at Perch Eco Business Centre, Elmsbrook, Bicester for our monthly Bicester Tech Meetup. Meet other local people working, or interested in, the tech industry. We'll have two 20-minute talks on the day and plenty of opportunity to network. Oh, and Pizza of course.
Talks:
Talk 1 - Rajinder Sharma
The other aspect of working in Tech Start-Ups - Commercial
Too often the word tech is associated with language such as tech geeks, java and now AI. However, the reality is that there is more to a tech start-up than this. For the idea/company to succeed into a 'scale up' or even a unicorn, there needs to be good entrepreneurial and sales/marketing skillsets. Today, I am going to be talking about my experiences of working for a start-up for both the challenges and benefits!
Talk 2 - Pete Turner
Lessons in Latency: The challenge of building for satcom
Let's talk about connectivity. It's something that we barely think about these days. But what happens when every byte of data has to travel 36,000km into space and back? Welcome to the world of satellite communications. High latency. Packet loss. Limited bandwidth. And the ever-looming data cap.
New speakers welcome, get in touch. pete@mmsio.com
---
All are welcome and there is no requirement to have any level of tech knowledge or experience to attend, just a desire to learn. Come along (bring your friends), network and learn something new with us!
