This awesome full-day trip from Guildford to Brighton follows the continuous off-road route called the Downs Link which links (as its name suggests) the North and South Downs. Officially the Downs Link starts in Guildford, but we pick up the track at the nearby village of Shalford. From here we follow the Downs link which is a slightly downhill track that used to be the bed of the old Guildford-Horsham railway. Enjoy some great cycling through the pleasant Surrey and West Sussex with the opportunity to stop on route at some nice cafes as well as visit the some of the old stations of the railway. In the afternoon we cycle by the River Adur just prior to reaching the coast as Shoreham. We then cycle along the seafront path to buzzing Brighton. Here we enjoy some more refreshments, relax and unwind after the great ride before catching train back to London
