Location and Start Time:
We will meet in the parking lot of Suburban Ice Rochester (52999 Dequindre Rd, Rochester, MI 48307) around 9:45 am. The trail starts here and ends at Richmond Flower Shop (69001 Main St, Richmond, MI 48062). Let’s plan to hit the trail at 10 am sharp. Road bikes are strongly encouraged.
Distance:
It is roughly 2 hours there and 2 hours back. The ride is 23.5 miles one way, a total of 47 miles. The entire trail is paved.
Optional:
There is an ice cream shop right off the MOT trail. We can stop by on the way back to Suburban Ice Rink.

About the trail:
The Macomb Orchard Trail is a 23.5 mile long rail trail in Macomb County, Michigan. It is built on the right-of-way of an early Michigan railroad, the Michigan Air Line Railway, later owned and operated by Canadian National Railway. The trail stretches from Richmond to Dequindre Road, where it connects to the Clinton River Trail.
