BTCEB Gala Ride SATURDAY MARCH 30TH at Skyline Wilderness Park (NAPA)!

Details

Join the Bicycle Trails Council SATURDAY MARCH 30TH for the next installment of our 2024 Gala Ride Series at the rugged, oft pedalie Napa Skyline Wilderness Park!

Skyline Wilderness is a great park to test your technical and aerobic skills, both climbing and descending over rocks, roots, and gnarly obstacles. But don't feel intimidated, there is a trail for every skill level at Napa Skyline. The soil here drains reasonably well, so as long as we haven't had a deluge 3 or 4 days before it'll likely be a park full of hero dirt.

Come join us for the fun!

BTCEB will be paying the entrance fee for ALL RIDERS who RSVP by FRIDAY the 29th at 9am.

So be sure to sign up (and also be sure to cancel if something comes up at the last minute).

Meet at:
Skyline Wilderness Park
Main Parking Lot
2201 Imola Ave
Napa, CA 94559

We will gather at 9am in the MAIN PARKING LOT (not the lot near the college) and hit the trails promptly at 9:30am.

Skyline Wilderness Park is located in NAPA. The parking is free inside the lot for BTCEB riders, but it is limited. There is a park day use fee of $3 that you will need to cover if you have NOT RSVP'd. Carpooling is encouraged to make sure we have space for everyone.

Join us for refreshments, beer and snacks after the ride. A well-tuned mountain bike (and some healthy lungs) is a must!

Help support the BTCEB by JOINING!

We offer ride groups for ALL SKILL LEVELS, from novice to advanced. All rides are ‘no-drop’ rides (we won’t leave you behind or let you get lost). A novice rider should feel reasonably comfortable with enough aerobic endurance to handle riding 10-12 miles (including 1700 ft of climbing) on hilly narrow singletrack for 2.5 hrs.

We will separate into at least 3 levels of riders: The beginner group, group C, will ride around 10 miles with about 1700 ft of elevation gain; The intermediate group, group B, will ride around 13 miles and 2000ft of elevation gain; the advanced group, group A, will ride around 16 miles and 3500 ft of elevation gain. More riders and we'll divide up even further . . .

Hopefully we've seen the bulk of the trail closing rain this season but if there's rain within a few days of the ride we may need to postpone. So be sure to stay tuned to Meetup for any last minute changes if it's wet the week leading up to the ride.

As always BTCEB rides are free and open to the public and led by experienced local mountain bikers familiar with the trails. Medical coverage is provided to all paid BTCEB members. Yet one more reason to join. So go to our web site and JOIN TODAY!

PLEASE RSVP to join the ride.
