BTCEB Gala Ride - Wildcat Roll BBQ
Hosted by Bicycle Trails Council of the East Bay
Details
Our June Gala ride is in conjunction with the Annual Wildcat Roll BBQ. As always the Gala is a casually paced social group ride. This no-drop ride is fun and includes most levels - both men and women. Most importantly, we ride together and find camaraderie in the sport.
Afterwards we regroup at Michael Mejia's place (which is only blocks away) for the biggest BTCEB bash of the year! Free BBQ & Beer for all BTCEB members (http://www.btceb.org/join). The post ride BBQ includes grilled meats and veggies, chips and dips, cut fruits, cookies, and beverages abound. Somehow our riders always end up hanging out in Miguel's attic for an informal Frag and munchie-fest, too. Secure bike parking is ample.
This is a 'no-drop' group ride (we won't leave you behind or let you get lost). Rides generally last 2 to 3 hours and are great opportunities to meet other East Bay mountain bikers at your skill level and to discover the best trails without having to do it on your own. Rides are free and open to the public and led by experienced local mountain bikers familiar with the trails.
Groups for ALL skill levels!
Fast Paced/Advanced Group (A): You'll get a chance to catch your breath, every now and then. Relaxed Intermediate Group (B): We stop to regroup and enjoy the view once in a while. Skill Building Beginner Group (C): The group starts off slow, and tapers back from there! Family Ride (D): hook up the kiddie trailer, bring the trail-a-bikes or Burley, and join the family ride. We start gathering at about 9:00am and hit the trails promptly at 9:30am.
