What we’re about
We are an ensemble welcoming all genders and voice types who share a common passion: we love to sing a cappella (that's music-talk for "without accompaniment"). You're invited to visit our Manhattan rehearsals. All you really need is an ability to sing in tune and a desire to create and perform fantastic four-part a cappella harmony. There is no charge or audition to visit and we provide the music. Request to join the Big Apple Chorus Meetup group and complete the question about your prior group or harmony experience. We'll respond via Meetup.
We have origins in the barbershop repertoire and still sing those classics (we're a chorus in the Barbershop Harmony Society). But these days, we enjoy a much wider range of songs in four-part harmony, including arrangements from Broadway shows, rock and roll, folk rock and old and new.
