Leveraging Big Data & Data Science

In contrast to our previous meetups on Architecture and Technologies, our next meetup will be business focused with the purpose of:

• Distilling Big Data and Data Science for industry

• Showing how Big Data and Data Science is being leveraged in Adelaide and Australia (and the value generated for organisations)

• Assisting industry with gaining traction on Big Data and Data Science projects

We will be joined by Nigel Hey (Director of Data Science, Complexica) and Troy Wuttke (Data Scientist, Data to Decisions CRC) to discuss how organisations are currently leveraging Big Data and Data Science to deliver value to the business. At the conclusions of the talks, we will hold a panel session with Nigel and Dr Brenton Cooper (CTO, Data to Decisions CRC) to answer questions from the audience, discuss challenges raised by the audience and discuss how organisations can take their first steps in becoming a data driven organisation.

We have many members from various sectors (Engineering, Manufacturing, Defence, Healthcare, Government, etc) and would encourage these members to come along and voice their challenges and pose their questions. Please also feel free to invite friends and family in these industries (up to 2 guests) so we can help drive data driven transformation and innovation in Adelaide.
