Speaker Bio:

Dharhas Pothina, Senior Solution Architect, Quansight

Over the years, Dharhas has coded in a progression of languages including BASIC, Pascal, C, C++, Fortran, Perl, Matlab and a smattering of Javascript. For the past 10 years, Python has been his primary tool of choice. He is an expert in computational physics, data science, visualization and geospatial analysis and has over 15 years of experience in state and federal government. He has lead multidisciplinary, multiagency teams that use both open source and proprietary tools. Dharhas holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin as well as a Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He loves woodworking, photography and teaching his daughters to love science.
