Learn About The American Bar Association’s New Task Force on Law and AI

Details
Dear Members: I am rekindling this Meetup group, including working with new co-organizers, who I hope will start running regular programs. One of the most important recent developments has been the American Bar Association’s new Association-wide task force on artificial intelligence. The task force is one of the signature initiatives of ABA President Mary Smith. Our meetup will focus on what Mary Smith seeks to accomplish with the task force and the task force’s goals and expected outputs.
This Meetup is offered as a member benefit to Section members, although does not include CLE credits.
Our topic: the new ABA Task Force on Law and Artificial Intelligence. https://www.americanbar.org/groups/leadership/office_of_the_president/artificial-intelligence/. We will hear from the Chair and one of the Vice Chairs of this new task force. We will cover Mary Smith’s purpose in creating the Task Force, its subgroups, its goals, who is on the Task Force, and expected outputs. Because AI is so important to the legal profession and the world, we will explore what the Task Force can accomplish beyond Mary Smith’s presidency.
