Hands on Lab Series, Part 1: HPE Vertica

\We will be having our first meetup Wednesday, July 12th at the JW Marriott Atlanta in Buckhead! It will be a hands-on workshop wherein we will be learning about Vertica, which is a Big Data Analytics Platform; happy hour in the hotel will follow. We will cover topics like:
• Database basics, such as installing and loading data into Vertica
• Designing a schema
• Creating simple and complex SQL queries
• Creating optimizations and the concepts behind Projections
• Optimizing query performance with Database Designer
• Running advanced in-database analytics such as geospatial, time series, Machine Learning algorithms, and much more
Notes for the hands-on workshop:
•This is going to be a 101 level hands-on workshop, so if you have used Vertica in the past, then this session might be too basic for you.
• This event is being sponsored by Vertica.
•Register early to reserve your seat.
•Seats are limited (food and drinks will be served), and you will be confirmed for the event by email.
