Lower Kafka storage costs with WarpStream streaming data platform

THIS IS A HYBRID EVENT. You can join us in-person or online.
Want to lower your Kafka costs 10x? WarpStream is a streaming data platform that's compatible with the Kafka protocol, but instead of using brokers with local disks, WarpStream uses a stateless architecture backed by cloud object storage (such as Amazon S3). This design is part of a larger movement toward re-imagining existing systems and technologies to take advantage of cloud-native design principles in order to deliver more cost-effective and less operationally burdensome deployment models. In this talk, we'll discuss how we built WarpStream to take advantage of all the cloud has to offer, and we'll discuss some of the tradeoffs that we made along the way.
