Pat has first-hand knowledge of middleware markets and products as well as extensive vertical industry domain expertise. About Allan
With over 15 years’ experience Allan has worked on projects for major organizations such as ING, Rabobank, Johnson & Johnson and AOL as an Enterprise Architect, Technical Team Lead and Senior Developer, delivering systems ranging from high performance web enabled transactional systems to interactive work flow and business process solutions. Recent roles include le ad architect for the AOL Broadband online platform and a member of the AOL Broadband architecture team for the transition programme. He has a strong background in database and software development with an affinity for open‐source solutions. His latest interests include Big Data ,Talend and NoSQL systems, in particular Hadoop based technologies. He recently completed the Hive, Pig and HBase courses facilitated by Cloudera. His experience covers many open source technologies and products such as Java EE, PHP, Apache, Linux, jBoss, mySQL, etc. Allan holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
