Come celebrate the First Day of Spring with our Spring Awakening 2021! Event this Saturday & Sunday, March 20th & 21st. It's a FREE open house event. We need your help to warm our trails, meadows, ridges, and streams. An invitation to fellow nature lovers, outdoor adventurers, and forest bathing seekers awaits at our sanctuary in the woods.

SATURDAY 3/20
9:30am Guided Hike - Farm Trail Loop, 2.6 miles
11:30am Guided Bike ride along Big East Fork, BYOB
Sustainable University hosts CSS Walk & Talk sessions
1pm “Strolling along East Fork Creek: What affects its water quality?"
Professor John Ayers, geochemist with Vanderbilt University's Earth and Environment Science Department
This talk & walk session will cover stream chemistry, rocks, differences between lakes and streams, and soil and nutrient runoff.
3pm "Nature and Nurture - All part of One"
Virginia Harper, author of "Controlling Crohn's Disease The Natural Way" and the founder of You Can Heal You, a macrobiotic lifestyle coaching program. This talk & walk session will highlight the interaction between our inner environment and our outer environment.
ALL Day: Covid-19 Memorial Art Table
Create a nature-friendly birdseed spiral feeder and on Sunday we will gently place them on trees in honor of those lives impacted and lost by the corona virus pandemic.
