Doomscrolling & The Nervous System: Healing the Mind

Details

# Are you feeling emotionally fried by social media, yet find it hard to stop scrolling?

You’re not alone—and it’s NOT YOU.

Between constant current events, the pull of online connection, and the pressure to “stay informed,” many of us are stuck in a loop of doomscrolling, emotional reactivity, and nervous system fatigue. Our brains get hooked on drama and noise, not because we’re broken—but because we’ve been wired for it.

In this grounding and eye-opening session, we’ll briefly explore:

  • How attachment to drama keeps you locked in learned helplessness
  • How social media addiction hijacks your nervous system—and what to do about it
  • Why scrolling often mimics connection, but leaves us feeling more alone
  • How to discern what truly matters, and feel safe disengaging from the rest
  • Some ways to break the cycle of overconsumption, without shame or guilt
  • And, we will share additional resources or practitioners that can assist you in going deeper with this topic.

And most importantly, you'll also experience a MAP Method session —a powerful subconscious reprogramming tool that helps release emotional triggers and change behaviors without needing to talk through or relive the source of our stress.

You’ll Walk Away With:
Clarity on why you’re stuck in the scroll loop—even if you know better
✅ A deeper understanding of the drama-addiction cycle and how it feeds disempowerment
✅ Tools to disconnect in a way that feels empowering, not avoidant
✅ A calm nervous system, and a sense of agency over what you consume
A practical intro to the MAP Method and how it can shift subconscious patterns quickly and gently

This event will be co-hosted by me and 4 of my fellow MAP Practitioners, who all want to offer support during these stressful times!
