We will be hiking in a fern and "ohi'a" cloud forest in the Honua'ula Forest Reserve above Kona in a cooler elevation of about 4,000'.
We'll be doing about a 4.2 mile loop (modified figure eight) connecting with the pipeline road/trail and ending up back where we started at our cars at Makahi Rd.
If four miles is too much for you, you could always go part way with us then do the short loop and end up at the cars where we started - about 2 miles.
