BIG ISLAND EAST SIDE TRANSPLANTS FIRST MEET UP!

Details
I was recently made the organizer for Big Island East Side Transplants, and I decided to rise to the challenge and accept the new role rather than trying to pass it on to someone else!
This is the first Meet Up I've organized for this group and the first I've done since moving to Hawaii a couple of years ago. I have hosted Meet Ups before, so I hope to make this relatively easy for everyone.
Big Island East Side Transplants is a Meet Up group for folks who have moved to the east side of Big Island from wherever who are interested in broadening their circle of friends and acquaintances. The group is open to anyone who is interested. The only real rule is that everyone be kind and respectful to one another. Aloha is the word.
We will be meeting on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at White Guava Cafe located at 54 E. Puainako St. in the KTA shopping center in Hilo from 11am-1pm. You can view their complete menu at: **https://www.whiteguavacafe.com/wp-content/uploads/White-Guava-Cafe-Menu.pdf** Their menu is pretty extensive, so hopefully everyone will find something they like. You can order a full meal or just a beverage if you wish, it's completely up to you. Please be sure to bring enough cash to pay for whatever you order including tax and tip.
- PLEASE RSVP by Monday, March 18 if you are planning to come, so that I can give the restaurant an accurate head count. That way they will be prepared for us! We must do our part to be sure we are welcomed back.
You don't need to bring anything other than yourself, your wallet and a willingness to talk with others. I will have name tags available for those willing to wear them, especially since most of us won't know each other. Not a requirement. Please don't hesitate to come because you don't know anyone. Neither do I - or anyone else for that matter!
A while back I tried to survey the folks who had joined the Meet Up regarding the best day/time to plan these events, but I didn't get much of a response. If you are unable to make this day/time but would like to come if it were on another day, please let me know by sending me a message via Meet Up. If enough people request a different day/time, I will try to arrange the next event for the most popular day/time request. Otherwise, going forward I will plan for the third Saturday of the month.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send me a message! I'm truly looking forward to meeting folks and making new connections.
As always, if you are not feeling well, please do not attend. If you've been exposed to someone who has COVID, please skip this event.
Lastly, if only a handful of people (or less even!) RSVP, I will still be there and will share a meal with whoever shows up. Sometimes Meet Ups take a minute to catch on.
