Rock Climbing and Camping at Shelf Road

A couple people have mentioned wanting to climb at Shelf so let’s go! I have a group campsite reserved at The Bank campground for Friday and Saturday nights. The site has a capacity of 20 people and 4 cars so carpooling is highly encouraged! However, there is additional parking available in the main lot if needed.

Please note there will be a small fee for those camping: $4.50- My Venmo is @alisalz (9882 are my last four digits!)

There is a wide range of climbing grades at Shelf so all abilities are welcome but you must at least know how to top rope belay and have the basic gear (harness, shoes and a helmet). Also please bring any ropes and draws you have. We will decide where we are climbing the night before and will post the time and meeting location in the comments section. My current plan is to arrive Friday afternoon and to climb Saturday and Sunday. Please feel free to join us for one day or both!

If there is interest we can go to Desert Reef Hot Springs on Saturday evening!
