Camp and Climb at Badger Flats

Please note this will be dispersed camping with no facilities!

Come join us for a weekend of camping at Badger Flats! For climbing we’ll plan to go to Valley of the Chickens and Feral Petunia where there is a wide range of grades in both sport and trad. All abilities are welcome but you must at least know how to top rope belay and have the basic gear (harness, shoes and a helmet). Also please bring any ropes and draws you have!

Even if you are not a climber feel free to join us! There is plenty to do in the area!

• Tarryall Reservoir - 20 minutes
• Elevenmile Reservoir - 30 minutes
• Elevenmile Canyon - 20 minutes

As mentioned before this will be dispersed camping so please bring enough water for yourself and follow all Leave No Trace principles.

I will go down early to find a campsite and will post the coordinates in the comments.

*Well behaved dogs are allowed but MUST be kept on a leash while at the climbing crags.

*These trips have a limit for a reason, please do not show up unannounced if you are not on the going list or bring any additional +1s if they are not listed. People under the age of 21 are generally not permitted as alcohol is often consumed on these trips. I do track attendance so please update your RSVP at least 48 hour prior to the start of the event if you’re no longer able to attend.

*By signing up for any overnight BMAD trip you are agreeing and self-certifying that you are not a convicted sex offender, nor have you been convicted of a felony, or violent crime. If either of these are a point you wish to discuss with specifics, reach out to John Harper.

*Our group maintains no liability for actions of any individuals, and these trips are attended at your own risk. Financial risk is also assumed by individual trip members when things happen outside of our control, such as if a house that the group has rented gets canceled by the owners, or flights canceled, etc. Honest mistakes happen from time to time, and as we are not an official business operating with any profit to trip organizers, attendees also assume risk due to honest mistakes of organizers.
