Join Big Mountain Adventures Denver for a morning paddleboarding meetup at Union Reservoir and start your 4th of July weekend on the water with an awesome crew of outdoor-loving people.

## Why We’re Going Early

Holiday weekends can get busy fast, so an early start gives us the best experience.
Early morning means:

• Smoother water conditions
• Less wind
• Easier parking (hopefully!)
• A more relaxed and enjoyable paddle session

Location: Union Reservoir Nature Area
Meet Time: 8:00 AM
Launch Time: 8:30 AM
Paddle Duration: Approximately 1.5 – 2 hours
We’ll paddle together at a relaxed pace, float before the fireworks, and enjoy a fun holiday morning on the water.

## RSVP Info

We’re keeping this meetup intentional and group-friendly so everyone has a great experience on the water.
👉 RSVP encouraged — we’re keeping the group size manageable for safety, smooth launch timing, and a connected group experience.
If interest is high, we may close RSVPs early.

## Launch Rules & Fees

• Launch Access: Temporary vehicle loading and unloading is allowed right along the beach so you can drop your board off before parking in the paved lot.
• Mandatory Fees: You must pay a $15 weekend vehicle fee, plus a $5 daily watercraft fee per paddleboard you bring into the park. Carpooling encouraged!
• Safety Gear: Every paddleboard is legally considered a vessel. You must have a U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jacket (PFD) and a whistle on your board.

Paddleboard Rentals
If you do not own a board, you can rent one directly at the reservoir from Rocky Mountain Paddleboard - Union Reservoir. Rentals may be limited due to holiday weekend availability.

## What To Bring

Please bring:

• Your paddleboard
• Paddle + leash
• Coast Guard approved life jacket / PFD
• Whistle
• Water and snacks
• Sunscreen + hat + sunglasses
• Towel/change of clothes
• Positive energy

Please arrive on time so we can launch together.
A few things to know:

• This is a social paddle meetup, not a lesson or guided class
• Coast Guard Approved Life Jacket/PFD and whistle ARE REQUIRED
• Wind and weather conditions may impact the route or timing
• Please paddle within your own comfort level
• Holiday weekends can still get busy, even early, so plan accordingly
