🎤 Guest Speaker: Sean Holland
Sean began diving as a teenager off the coasts of Connecticut and New Jersey, eventually expanding his expeditions across the globe—from Canada and Scotland to Grenada and South Africa—exploring shipwrecks from U-boats to ocean liners.
His work has been featured in Nitrox Diver, Immersed, Dive Journal, National Geographic Adventure, and Deep Descent. A Fellow of the Explorers Club, Sean is also the co-creator of Sea Stories, an annual forum celebrating ocean conservation and exploration, and a former board member of the Atlantic Conservation Partnership. He holds a B.S. from Babson College and both an MBA and MS in Risk Management from NYU Stern.

🌊** About the Talk:
“Field Leadership – Managing Teams and Risk on Expeditions”**
Sean will explore how expedition environments sharpen leadership, decision-making, and team dynamics. Drawing on field research across shipwrecks, remote sites, and conservation missions, he’ll share how effective leaders operate when conditions are dynamic, information is imperfect, and consequences are real.
Attendees will gain practical insights into building trust, managing diverse teams, and making disciplined decisions under pressure—illustrated through real-world experiences, including dating an Antebellum-era wreck off Connecticut and co-leading a deep-water six-gill shark study in Bermuda.
