NYUPS August 2026 Meeting

This month’s theme: juveniles! Show us your best “baby pics” — cute shots of young marine life exploring their aquatic world for the first time.

These meetings are for underwater photographers and videographers of all levels to share and discuss their favorite images. Doesn’t matter what camera you use or how long you’ve been shooting — we’re here for the joy of underwater imaging.

You do NOT need to submit anything to attend! Come enjoy the photos and video, learn from the discussion, and add your own comments. We’ll also do some live editing so you can see what’s possible with modern image processing software.

Heads up: these meetings focus on technique, not just showcasing work. If you submit, come ready to talk about your process and participate in discussion — that’s how everyone learns.

Submission details:

🔵Up to 10 photos (JPG, max 2.5MB each), numbered in your preferred viewing order — we may not get through all of them

🔵Video welcome: one up to 4 min, or two up to 2 min each

🔵 Share video via Dropbox or similar

🔵 Email photos/links to photos@bigappledivers.com; subject line “NYUPS SUBMISSION”

🔵 Deadline: Tuesday, August 11th

🔵 Creator must attend for work to be shown
