Gator Hook wet hike - Big Cypress

We will meet at the trailhead kiosk for Gator Hook Trail. Google Gator Hook trail for exact directions from your location. Gator Hook is located at the Western end of Loop Road about 2 miles in on the left side. Meet at the trailhead at 8:00am. We will start the hike by 8:30am. The ground is uneven and slippery. Plan to hike in water that may be as deep as 2-3 feet in some places and we will go into one of the Cypress Domes. The Footpath is limestone with lots of holes. Hiking poles are highly recommended. Hike will be 5 -6 miles and considered moderate or difficult depending on your hiking experience.
