Fakahatchee Strand Hike
Details
Meet at the Visitor Center at 8am for check in and park. We will carpool to the trailhead at the end of Janes Scenic road
We will leave towards the trailhead promptly at 8:30.
Google map Fakahatchee state park for directions. Once on the main road to the right, you will follow along to the visitor center on the right. Make a right turn into the center and park. There are restrooms at the visitor center.
What to bring:
At least 2L of water
Wear comfortable breathable clothing
Wear comfortable sneakers that dry quickly
Wear sunblock and bug repellent
Information:
We will hike on the left side of the East Main Tram trail about 2.5 miles in and back out. This trail is a slightly elevated dirt footpath and does not usually get wet except for a couple of small water crossings. However, the footpath can get muddy if there has been rain. Expect to get your feet wet or some mud.
