In this session, we'll take a look at what makes mathematics challenging to learn (especially in data science) for many and what you can do read and understand mathematics more effectively.

In this session, we'll talk about one system you can use to navigate your way into mathematics and what to do when you encounter (1) terms and (2) symbols that you do not understand.

Mathematics is a language. Like other languages that we know about, it has its own alphabet, vocabulary, and grammar rules.

This session is not about problem solving but the nature of mathematics as a language and a collection of ideas.
