In this first session of 'Statistics and Programming', we will look at how statistics allows us to learn from data, and how machine learning has developed from the science of inference. Furthermore, we will look at effective methods for learning statistics, machine learning, and the mathematical prerequisites that is necessary for mastering statistical learning.
