The Biggest Outdoor Party in LA: Holi Festival 2026
Details
THE FESTIVAL RUNS 11-4 BUT WE WILL MEET AT 12:30PM BY THE FOOD TRUCKS. I WILL HAVE A MEETUP SIGN/FLAG/SOMETHING WHERE YOU CAN EASILY FIND ME/US.
Hi All! Let's check out this super fun event in the valley! Lots of people, food, and don't forget colors getting thrown around (bring clothes you can wash, I can't guarantee it won't stain)! Family friendly - you and you're kids will have a blast!
We went the last 2 years and it was a really fun (& tasty)! The music is better after 1 so we'll meet at 12:30pm and get some lunch there.
The "official" meetup ends at 2:30pm but you can stay as long as you like. We've found that 2-3 hours is more than enough, personally.
Holi, also known as the festival of colors, is a two-day celebration in India that celebrates the eternal love between Radha and Lord Krishna. Holi is celebrated in different ways in different parts of India, but the core value is the same – celebrating the triumph of good over evil.

Some tips:
- Bring clothes that you don't mind getting stained. Maybe go to Goodwill and pick something up for a few bucks. Also, either all black or all white works well.
- Bring a change of clothes and a garbage bag. You can change afterward and put your clothes somewhere so you don't mess up your car. Bring smaller towels (paper) to clean off your hands.
- OR... cover your car seats in towels or sheets, so you don't have to change your clothes.
- Some of the chalk may not come out in your first shower, especially red/purple on your face where you sweat or if you have light hair. Generally though, after a couple of showers/days, it'll be gone.
- There is little shade in the dance area, so bring a hat/sunscreen/long sleeves (depending on temperature) to protect your skin.
