What we're about

FUN FUN FUN ..... and some cycling too! This is a public group without membership fees or dues, relying solely on your donations to keep the site up and running. We are a social group with cycling as our common denominator. We don't compete or train as a group, nor do we ride off road. Take your time and look around our site, check out our past rides and the photo section. We really have only two rules; you must have a profile picture that others can clearly identify you from, and you have to log onto the site at least once a month. That's really all there is! To read more about us, and get a link to our FAQ page, click on the "Members" button, then on "More", scroll down to and click on "Pages". If you have any questions just send a message to the Organizer or any A/O, and we'll get back to you promptly.

Hump Day 11-Mile Back Bay Quick Ride

2301 University Dr

A little Wednesday evening exercise! A single spin of 11 mile round the back bay. Meet at the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center in Newport Beach at the Back Bay. From the parking lot, we ride clockwise along the bike/walking paths. It's a short n' sweet 11 mile spin and you'll be home for dinner early and at sunset. Done at 5:30/5:45pm! Optimal metabolism boost! No one left behind ride/hike. Regroup at junctions. Average pace of 10-13 on the pedals. We will be nice and relaxed after this ride and de-stress semi-mid-week! Researchers have found that our brain chemicals become very balanced by geting outside into nature for at least an hour per day or two hours, three times a week. We are on track with this one! Bring your helmet, jacket, sun glasses, spare tube/patch kit and air source, water and money in case of need. Start time is 4:30PM so we can squeeze it in before sunset. You can always join us for just one or for both! Let's ride! Hope to see you there! Gina πŸ˜ƒ

Irvine 23 Mile Ride

Bill Barber Park Irvine Civic Center

Let's Ride Series, Ride #27! Time to get your ride in after eating lots of chocolate in February! A quick n easy 23 miles around greater Irvine should stretch out the legs and get the blood flowin' again. This ride will take us up the SDCT, around the Great Park, along a stretch of Portola, then down Hicks Canyon to Harvard and back to the start. Some uphill stretches, and a few overpasses, but no steep climbs. If that works up an appetite we'll decide where to go when we're done. I found a tasty Thai food place nearby if anyone is interested. Remember to bring your best bike with inflated tires, helmets, water, spare tube and air source, snack, money. We will roll out at 9 am. Route Map: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/11272740 See you then! Gina G.
