“Moov-It Monday” Cohoes to Waterford Locks & Old Champlain Canal - 10 miles

Come ride with us this “Moov-It Monday” May 11th at 6pm as we travel along the gravel pathway of the Old Champlain Canal in Waterford. This roughly 10 mile route will start at the parking at 203 Van Schaick Ave in Cohoes (near Van Schaick County Club). Crossing over Van Schaick Ave, we will head north on the paved Empire State Trail past Peebles Island heading into Waterford. We will then pick up the gravel pathway of the old Champlain Canal trail. Crossing over Lock 2 we will continue heading north on the gravel pathway enjoying the rich history of the old canal system. Out and back is roughly 10 miles. There are a couple of short hills and with the off road nature of this ride a gravel or mountain bike is recommended.
As always, a helmet and bell are required. Ride starts just after 6pm.
