
What we’re about
We are a group of friendly people who enjoy road riding in the beautiful countryside surrounding Geneva.
Our rides occur March-October, on Saturday mornings (4-5 hours), and Thursday evenings (2 hours) during daylight savings. We have 4 ride levels, from moderately easy to quite challenging, all led by experienced guides. Bike Switzerland also rents high quality road, touring, gravel and e-bikes. Click here to learn more.
Please sign up with a level that suits your abilities; this will ensure you can keep up and not slow down other riders. If you're not sure, choose the relaxed level the first time out with us. Look at the Meetup events we post for more details.
Our Saturday morning levels:
1. Relaxed: Riding mostly on quiet back roads for pleasure, scenery and socializing
· Pace: moderate
· Distance: 45 to 60 km
· Climbing: rolling hills, elevation gain 400 to 700 meters.
· Coffee break: yes, we’re very sociable!
2. Moderate: Pleasure and scenery are primary motivations, with emphasis on a workout
· Pace: moderately fast
· Distance: 60 to 80 km
· Climbing: a series of climbs, elevation gain 500 to 1000 meters
· Coffee break: usually
3. Challenging: These rides will get your heart rate going!
· Pace: fast
· Distance: 80 to 110 km
· Climbing: multiple climbs, elevation gain 1000 to 1800 meters.
· Coffee break: sometimes
4. Peak: These rides will test your limits!
· Pace: fastest
· Distance: 100 to130 km
· Climbing: some big climbs, elevation gain 1500 to 2000 meters.
· Coffee break: sometimes

Given Saturday’s forecast, we’ll get an early start and head out at 7:30, even though the shop doesn’t open until 9:00.
We haven’t picked a coffee-break spot yet, so please send me your addresses so I can choose a place that works for everyone.

NOTE: For challenging rides you should be able to keep the average pace (~23 km/h minimum), have ridden before in a group, and be both comfortable and safe when group riding.

- Peak 8:00 - Super Saxel - AjonRue des Grottes 22, Genève
For the fourteenth BCS ride of the season, please join this Peak ride to the Vallée Verte.
The weather will be hot.
We'll climb Super Saxel, go down to Boëge, and up to Ajon (1400m altitude) from Villard and will come back through Bonne.
Distance : 96 km (shortened due to hot weather)
Elevation gain : 1650 mThe pace will be Peak slow.
For usual Peak fast riders, you can join us and make your own group if you feel so.Start at 08:00 am at the shop.

Our regular "relaxed" ride - this time looping through Geneva with a coffee break in Dardagny.

- Moderate-level ride: Perrignier-Allinges-Sciez-YvoireBike Switzerland, Genève
A ride on some less-well-trodden (or -ridden!) roads for the club, through Machilly, Perrignier, to Allinges, then Sciez (coffee break), and back via Yvoire and Hermance. The pace will be moderate (see NOTE below).
