BCS Challenging Ride: Col de la Combe Blanche

Join Kirby for an adventure up into the Jura as we climb Col de la Combe Blanche and then descend back through Gex from Col de la Faucille. This will be a challenging pace ride with regrouping but no cafe stop until the top of Col del la Faucille. Cafe stop will be in France, so please bring euros.

We start at 8:00 at the Bike Switzerland shop, Rue des Grottes 22, Geneva, and should return by 12:30.

Bring snacks, water (2 bottles, it will be hot!), and a flat repair kit. Helmets are required. See a checklist here. Also make sure your bike is in good working order.

NOTE: For Challenging rides you should be comfortable in a close group and be able to keep the average pace of 22 kph.

If you have any doubt or have not done any group riding, please start on a relaxed/intro ride. Bike Club Switzerland runs rides most weeks to help you learn the group riding skills you need to join this ride.
We regroup at the top of climbs and stop for major mechanicals - but you need to be self-sufficient to complete the ride or make your way back if you have a major mechanical.
