Ride to Support our Petition on More Cycleways in Inner West

Ride to Ashfield Civic Centre to attend the council meeting where our petition is to be considered, and support our speakers.

Or, if you can’t do the ride, meet us at the civic Centre around 615.

The ride will be on mainly quiet streets and paths via Allen St, Barton St, Dalhousie St and Ashfield Park. Then some footpaths to the Civic Centre on Liverpool Rd. Bikes can be left inside main door, going on last week’s ride.

All welcome, children must have carer. Not suitable for children under about ten.

Must have lights and helmet.

Will ride back to Leichhardt afterwards or make your own way.

This is a repeat of a successful ride last week. Inner West Council was to consider the petition at that meeting, but there was a fire alarm and the meeting was abandoned. Council is now holding an extra Council meeting to consider our petition, along with the other items that were not considered. We can have 3 speakers to support the motion put up by CLR Griffiths. Speakers get 3 minutes at start of meeting at 630 pm, so no need to hang around after that if you don’t want to. The Petition motion is no 15 on the agenda.
