FLAT ROCK GULLY AND BEYOND

Come and explore this bushland escape, under canopies of eucalypts, coachwood and tree ferns, in the middle of a busy urban landscape, and discover a little of Henry Lawson’s life in this area.
MEET at Jones Street Pocket Park (end of Jones Street, Ultimo) to ride across the Harbour Bridge, then through North Sydney to Willoughby and Northbridge, where we can enjoy coffee and views across Long Bay, before heading off to Balls Head for another encounter with Henry Lawson. Return to Milsons Point Station where ride will finish.
The ride is about 26 km with some hills on a mix of cycle paths, back streets and small sections of some busier roads.

WHAT TO BRING: A bike in good mechanical order; helmet; water bottle, spare inner tube(s) and a bike pump in case of punctures. OPAL card if you want to use trains.
WEATHER: Ride will be cancelled if there is significant rain on the morning of the ride. Monitor MeetUp for announcement. (Fingers crossed for fine weather!)
Riders must be 2025 financial members ($10 annual fee) unless this is your first ride with Bike Leichhardt which is complimentary.
