SEAHORSES AND SUBMARINES

Details
What is the connection between Seahorses and Submarines?
Come and find out as we ride from the Mu-sea-um (Australian National Maritime Museum) at Darling Harbour to Chowder Bay, Mosman, via the former submarine base HMAS Platypus in Neutral Bay.
All confident riders are welcome. The ride is particularly suited to e-bikes as parts of Mosman are hilly. We will regroup frequently to account for hill climbs.
We will have a couple of stops to hear a little of the fascinating history behind submarines and seahorses in Sydney.
Distance 33 km – includes some busier roads where we will ride single file. Rail bail option at Milsons Point if you are time constrained.
Meet on the quay alongside the HMAS Onslow submarine moored at the Maritime Mu-Sea-Um in 2 Murray Street, Darling Harbour.
Coffee halfway at Chowder Bay.
WHAT TO BRING: A bike in good mechanical order; helmet; water bottle, spare inner tube(s) and a bike pump in case of punctures. Also bring a PADLOCK as coffee will be out of sight of bikes.
If this is your first time riding with Bike Leichhardt please contact the Ride Leader. First ride is complimentary, then join Bike Leichhardt for $10 per annum.
